From The Palmer Journal, November 25, 1971, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Carrie A. Semple, daughter of Anna and Andrew Moberg was born on May 16, 1894 at Hershey, Nebraska. She left this life on November 23 at Grand Island, after reaching the age of 77 years. As a child she lived with her parents in various place in Nebraska and in 1913 they settled on a farm northeast of Palmer. On March 6, 1920 she was married to John W. Semple in Central City. They resided on a farm east of Palmer where they lived until 1956 when they moved into Palmer, where she spent the remainder of her life. She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Pearl Cottingham and Mrs. Ella Hutchison both of Downers Grove, Ill., two brothers, Ernest Moberg of Central City and William Moberg of Benton City, Washington. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one infant daughter.
