From The Palmer Journal, December 2, 1948, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Mrs. Anna Moberg died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Semple last Saturday after a long illness. (Funeral details followed) Anna Lundberg was born in Malmo County, Westerjutland, Sweden, November 2, 1873 and died at Palmer, Nebraska, November 27, 1948, age 75 years and 25 days. At an early age she was united with the Swedish Lutheran Church of which organization she remained a consistent member all through her life. At the age of 15 she emigrated to America coming to Wahoo, Nebraska. On June 27, 1891 she was married to Andrew Moberg. They spent the next twenty years in the western part of Nebraska where Mr. Moberg was employed by the Union Pacific railroad. They later moved to Lancaster county where they engaged in farming. In March, 1913 they moved to Merrick County on a farm northeast of Palmer. Mr. Moberg died September 21, 1920. In March 1925 Mrs. Moberg moved to Central City where she resided until due to failing health, she spent the past several years with her daughter, Mrs. Carrie Semple near Palmer. Surviving are five children, Ernest of Central City; Mrs. Carrie Semple near Palmer; William of Benton City, Washington; Pearl Senkbile and Ella Hutchison of Downers Grove, Illinois; three granddaughters, Sandra Senkbile and Gail and Lynne Hutchison of Downers Grove; also one brother of Minneapolis and one sister in Sweden. Preceding her in death were her husband, several brothers and one granddaughter, Anna May Semple.
