From The Palmer Journal, October 7, 1920, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: A. Moberg was born in Grestophl, Sweden August 7, 1865 (sic) and died at Grand Island, Nebraska, September 20th, 1920, aged 55 years, one month and 20 days. At the age of 15 he united with the Swedish Lutheran church, of which organization he remained a consistent member all his life. At the age of 18, he emigrated to America, locating at Wahoo, Nebraska. Twenty-nine years ago he was united in marriage to Anna Lundberg. To this union there were born five children, two sons and three daughters, who with his faithful wife, one brother and one sister, both of whom are living in Sweden, and a host of friends are left to mourn his loss. The children are: Ernest and Wm. Moberg, Mrs. John Semple and Pearl and Ella Moberg. Several years ago the Moberg family moved to this locality where he soon came to be held in highest esteem. To man, woman or child, saint or sinner, he always extended a cordial greeting that lent a ray of light to brighten their pathway in the journey of life. The funeral was held Wednesday, September 29th at the M. E. church, under the auspices of the Masonic Lodge, of which order he had been a member for many years, and interment was made in Rose Hill cemetery. The bereaved relatives have the sympathy of the entire community.
