From The Palmer Journal Thursday, June 27, 1974, page 1, transcribed by Linda Berney: Services Held For Ernest Moberg, 82 - Funeral services for Ernest Moberg, 82, of Central City were held Wednesday afternoon at the United Methodist Church there, with Pastor Henry Beatty officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Palmer. The son of Andrew and Anna Lundberg Moberg, he was born June 14, 1892 at Malmo and passed away Sunday at Litzenberg Memorial Hospital. He married Leah Stenstrom on March 7, 1918 and they farmed northeast of Palmer for 19 years, retiring and moving into Central City in 1937. Survivors include his widow; two sisters, Mrs. Carey (Pearl) Cottingham of Downers Grove, Ill., and Mrs. Ray (Ella) Hutchinson of Central City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother.
