Obituary - printed in the Iola Register, 3/8/1974 Frank M. Pilcher, 93, Humboldt, died March 7, 1974, at the Pinecrest Nursing Home in Humboldt following an illness of three months. Mr. Pilcher was born January 11, 1881, at Glasco, Kansas, and moved to Humboldt from Lebo in 1933. He was a retired carpenter. He was married to Maggie Curtis October 31, 1905, in Delphos. She died July 11, 1960. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruth Horn, Stewart, Florida; four sons, Milton Pilcher and Bill Pilcher, Concordia, Kansas; Carl Pilcher, Walnut Creek, California; and Richard Pilcher, Humboldt; a sister, Grace Pearson, Glasco; three brothers, Ray Pilcher, Pittsburg, Lester Pilcher, Glasco, and Gaylord Pilcher, Bennett; and 17 grandchildren. A daughter, Margaret Lytle, and a son, Robert Pilcher, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be at 2 pm on 3/8/1974 at the Price Funeral Home in Humboldt. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery at Humboldt.
