Lester L. Nelson Obit Lester L. Nelson 84, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, Oct. 24, 1987, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Cemetery, Cave Junction. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today and Wednesday at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Flowers will be welcomed or donations may be made to the donor's favorite charity in care of Hull & Hull's. He was both July 26, 1903, in Hooper, Neb. He moved to Grants Pass in 1943, where he owned and operated a logging company and later went to work for the Josephine County Road Department. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge. Survivors include his wife, Verdie Nelson of Grants Pass; four sons, George Nelson and Frank Nelson, both of Sun Ray, Texas, Ron Nelson of Grants Pass and LeRoy Nelson of Chowchilla, Calif.; six daughters, Ruth Davis, Mary Scott and Esther Stark, all of Grants Pass, Phyllis Hoehn of Kennewick, Wash., Margaret Shook of Federal Way, Wash., and Julie Milner of Klamath Falls; five brothers, Eddie Nelson of Iowa, Richard Nelson of Nebraska, Delbert Nelson of Arizona, Jack Nelson of Winston and Russel Nelson of Glide; four sisters, Margaret Ulrich of Iowa, Nora Nisson of Nebraska, Jennie DePeel of White City and Pearl Smith of Utah; 33 grandchildren, 30 great, grandchildren and seven great, great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Merlin Nelson.
