Clyde K Nelson MARCUS – Clyde K. Nelson 51, of Marcus, a Veteran of World War II, died Tuesday at Omaha. Born in North Bend, Neb., on Nov. 22, 1915, he had since lived in Sac, Buena Vista and Cherokee Counties. He is survived by the widow, Helen of Marcus; three daughters, Kathryn, Gloria and Diane, and two sons, Dennis and Michael, all at home. Also surviving are seven brothers, Lester Nelson of Wilderville, Ore., Richard of Orchard, Neb., Albert of Phoenix, Ariz., Merlin of Cave Junction, Ore., Lawrence of San Fernando, Calif., Russell of Sylmar, Calif., and Edward Nelson, Cherokee; also four sisters, Mrs. Nora Nissen of Stanton, Neb., Mrs. Mildred De Peel of Brunswick, Neb., Mrs. Anton Ulrich, Sac City, and Mrs. Carl Wallace, Bell Gardens, Calif. Funeral services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. from Marcus Grace Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Pruitt officiating. Burial is to be in Memorial Gardens at Cherokee with F. I. Goodburn American Legion Post of Marcus officiating at memorial rites. Nelson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
