Bio

son of Needham Judge Alford - Martha Waddell Jacob Lauhon Alford married Sarah A Smith on 30 August 1855. They were the parents of 10 children. The couple moved to Jack County, Texas in 1881. Mr. J.L. Alford, a prominent citizen of Finis, died last Friday night of typhoid fever and was buried here on Sunday with Masonic honors. He was a good man, admired and respected by all who knew him. He leaven an interesting family and a large circle of friends to regret his death.
