Bio
Mrs. Louise Straten, age 49, passed away in a Waco hospital on Saturday, December 22, Funeral services were held at St. Martin's church at Tours Monday at 9:30 a.m., Rev. J. T. Geiser officiating. Interment was in St. Martin's cemetery at Tours. Mrs. Straten had been ill but a few days. She developed pneumonia following a severe cold and lived but a few hours after being taken to a Waco hospital. Born in Bell county, deceased came to the Tours community in 1921 with her parents. In 1924 she was married to Anton Straten and had been a resident of the Tours and Leroy communities since that time. Surviving are her husband; five daughters, Mrs. George Kubacak, Misses Willie Mae, Irene, Louise and Evelyn Straten, all of route 2, West; her mother, Mrs. Mary Bettge, West; one sister, Mrs. Frank Straten, Leroy; three brothers, Adolph Schorn of Texas City, Edmund Bettge of Leroy and E.
