Mrs. Straten Of Leroy, Dies Mrs. Frank (Hattie) Straten, 81, of Leroy died Tuesday morning in a West hospital. Mass of Christian burial will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Martin’s Catholic Church in Tours with the Rev. Frank Miller celebrant. Burial will be in St. Martin’s Cemetery. Rosary was recited Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Mrs. Straten was born in Killeen and had lived in Leroy since 1924. She was a member of St. Martin’s Catholic Church and the Altar Society. She married Frank Straten in 1925. He died in 1973. Survivors include four sons, Alphonse Straten of Northcrest, Daniel Straten of Elm Mott, Urban Straten of Arlington and Emanuel Straten of Pittsburg, Pa.; a daughter, Mrs. James (Angeline) Debbendener of Leroy; two half-brothers, E.G. Bettge of Waco and Ed Bettge of Leroy; a stepbrother, Frank Bettge of Corpus Christi; a stepsister, Mrs. Sophie Bohot of California; nine grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were: Calvin Debbendener, Dennis Debbendener, J.R. Varnell, Jr., Gary Wayne Straten, Robert W. Boss and Paul Straten.
