Bio
When Margaret Poor-Cantrell was born on 26 June 1857, in Hart County Kentucky, her father, Joseph C Poor, was 26 and her mother, Margaret Sublett, was 24. She married Benjamin Tolbert Cantrell on 4 September 1873, in Greensburg, Green, Kentucky. They were the parents of 10 sons and 1 daughter. In 1882, the couple moved to Winfield, Kansas to a farm west of town and in 1887 they moved to Larned, Ks. where her husband opened Cantrell Bros. Meat. The family moved back to Winfield in 1897 where she remained until she passed on 20 April 1931, at the age of 73, and was buried in Highland Cemetery, Winfield, Kansas beside her husband.
