Bio

Forest Donald Cantrell was born May 25, 1891, in Larned, Ks. to Benjamin Tolbert Cantrell and Margaret Poor, the 7th born of 11 children. On April 26, 1919, he married Helen Bernice Bryant in Floyd County, Indiana. The couple made their first home in Winfield, Ks. with his widowed mother and two brothers and their wives. Forest was a retired body and fender repairman, having owned the Cantrell Body Shop. He was a veteran of World War 1 and a member of the First Babtist Church. He was survived by his wife Helen; a son, Bill R. of Tacoma; two daughters, Mrs. Virginia Lee Giles, and Mrs. Turlene Louise McGowan, 10 grandchildren and six brothers in Kansas.
