Bio

Rose Husak, age 92, of West, passed away early Saturday morning, October 9, 1993 in West Community Hospital. Funeral services were at 9:30 a.m. Monday at First United Church in West with the Rev. Jimmy Watson officiating. Burial followed in Bold Springs Cemetery near West. Mrs. Husak was born September 6, 1901 in McLennan County, the daughter of Anton and Annie Koval. She married Frank Husak in 1923, and he preceded her in death in 1985. She was a life-long resident of West, where she worked in a West Independent School District cafeteria until her retirement in 1969. She was a member of the First United Church of West and a former member of S.P.J.S.T. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Evelyn Matus, who died September 28, 1952. She is survived by a sister, Helen Marek of West, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven sisters and one brother. Pallbearers were Alvin Lowrance, Johnny Barton, Johnny Lastovica, Bill Linthicum, Tony Ruetten and John Angerman. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
