Bio
Oran Jr. was the son of Gov. Oran Milo Roberts, Sr. and Frances Wycliffe Roberts. He was the youngest of 7 children; Sarah Jane, Oba, Robert Pinckney, Margaret Eliza, Peter, Una Frances and Oran Milo Roberts, Jr. Junior didn't have the loftier aspirations of his famous father, and was satisfied in just being a farmer most of his adult life. When he died, he was the night watchman at the University of Texas, Austin. Nicknamed "The Gov" after his father. He married once, to Erin Annie Scripture, and together they had 9 children, 8 of which survived; Frances Euneatia, Ida May, Erin Marguerite, Oran Wilford Sr., Bessie Ruth, Nanie Evelyn, Orine Annie and Robert Lenoy Roberts. An unnamed daughter born and died in 1907.
