Bio

Robert was the 3rd of 7 children born to Gov. Oran Milo Roberts, Sr. and Frances Wycliffe Edwards Roberts. He was the husband of Corrie Murphy and the father of Margaret and Robert Milo Roberts. Robert Pinckney Roberts wife Corrie died soon after the birth of their son. In 1883 or 1884 he married Matilda Evelyn Grammer, and they had five children before his death in August, 1894. A thing to note is that Robert could well be the first child born in the newly formed State of Texas, as the Republic of Texas became the 28th State on December 29, 1845, just 5 days prior to his birth.
