Bio

Clem was the youngest of 12 children of Joel and Emeline and from photo, looks to be Downs Syndrome. I was told she fell into a wash pit fire when she was young and had burns. Her sister, LeeAnn, cared for her after their mother died until LeeAnn was unable too. Clem was put in the "Austin State School" in Austin Texas where she died in 1945. Clem's death certificate states she was born 21 Apr 1887. Joel's pension application gives her date of birth as 21 apr 1889. The 1900 Census also list her as being born Apr 1889.
