Bio

Miss Anna Plasek, age 90, of 300 W. Haven passed away Tuesday, September 1, 1987 at West Rest Haven. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 3, 1987 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Henry Beseda officiating. Burial followed in West Brethren Cemetery. Ms. Plasek was born August 13, 1897 in Granger, Texas to Joseph and Frances Plasek. Before moving to West in 1952 she was a Presbyterian Missionary in Pittsburg, Pa. for about 35 years. She then started her own kindergarten in Connally where she taught for 15 years, retiring in 1972. She was a member of the Evangelical Bible Church in West. She is survived by three brothers; Emil Plasek, Sr. and Emmett both of West and Dr. W. W. Plasek of Temple; two sisters, Frances Malach of West and Tonie Stout of Ennis and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers are Steven Lovecky, Steve Lovecky, Jan Vaculik, Walter Millet, Raymond Kral and Roman Srubar. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 97, No. 36, Ed. 1 – Thursday, September 8, 1987
