Bio
Graveside services for Mrs. Antoinette (Toni) Stout were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Old Bethel Cemetery under the direction of J. E. Keever Mortuary. Mrs. Stout, 92, died Saturday, January 22, at the Baylor Medical Center in Ennis. She was born September 14, 1907 in Cyclone, Texas, the daughter of Joseph and Frances Marek Plasek. She was reared in West and was a graduate of West High School. She then attended the University of Texas in Austin where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in 1935. She taught elementary grades for a number of years, mainly in Ellis County. On November 8, 1941, she was married to James A. (Doc) Stout of Canton. After their marriage, they lived in Ennis. Mr. Stout preceded her in death in 1992. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ennis. She is survived by a brother-in-law and his wife, Jess and Joyce Stout of Canton; one nephew, five nieces; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six brothers, three sisters and one niece. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 110, No. 4, Edition 1 – Thursday, January 27, 2000.
