Rosenberg Herald, September 27, 1956: Funeral services were held Tuesday for John Loesch, 60, of here, from the Methodist Church, Needville. Mr. Loesch was born in Brenham in 1895. He had lived in Fort Bend County for the past 29 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Matilda Loesch of here; four sons, Elroy, Melvin, Clarence, and Earl of here; four daughters, Mrs. Laura Harbes of here, Mrs. Sadie Zikuhr of Damon, Mrs. Doris Graeber of Needville, and Mrs. Johnnie Mae Meuth of Houston; four brothers, Ed, Walter and Emil of Brenham, and Henry of East Bernard; four sisters, Mrs. Sadie Hinze of Brenham, Mrs. Lena Kaecheler of Brenham, Mrs. Tilda Schroeder of Houston, and Mrs. Minnie Wehring of Brenham; and eleven grandchildren. Rev. George D. Loden of Needville officiated at the services. Graveside services under the auspices of the Needville American Legion Post No. 350, assisted by a detachment from Ellington Field. Garmany-Janca Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
