Bio

Adolf Marek Drowns In Tank at Farm Home All Efforts To Revive Victim Are Futile Adolf Marek, 25, drowned in a tank at the family home some 4 miles northwest of this city at about 8 p.m. Wednesday. According to the youth's father, Adolf had been working in the field all day and at dusk went to the tank for a swim. When he failed to return at the usual time, other members of the family went to the tank where they recovered the body from the water about four feet deep. Apparently, young Marek was stricken with cramps while in the water. He was brought to West where local physicians attempted to revive him. Justice of the Peace Louis Garrison returned a verdict of death by accidental drowning. Funeral services will be held today, Friday, at the family residence at 3 p.m. and at the C.M.B. church at 4 p.m., Rev. F. J. Kostohryz officiating. Burial will be in C.M.B. cemetery, Aderhold in charge. Surviving are the parents, Mr. and Mrs. V. F. Marek; three brothers, Jim, Emil and Frank Marek; five sisters, Mrs. Mollie S. Veselka and Mrs. Annie Veselka of Waco, Mrs. Velma Mikeska of Abbott, Mrs. Hermina Simcik of Taylor and Miss Lillian Marek, Dallas.
