Bio
Mrs. Mildred Janes expires on Tuesday; hold rites at Hill Last rites were held Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. from the Hill Baptist church for Mrs. Mildred Shelton Janes, 63, of Terry, who expired Tuesday afternoon at the local hospital after a brief illness. The Revs. F. C. Chambers, R. V. Kinney and R. L. Joyner officiated at the services. Interment followed in the Oak Grove cemetery under direction of Gay's Funeral home. Mrs. Janes is survived by four daughters, Mrs Mary Rose Maxwell, of Terry, Mrs. Joy Gunter, of Oak Grove, Mrs Josephine Spaulding, of Houston, Texas and Angela Pippens, of Jackson, Tenn.; two brothers, John Vaugham Wortham, of Bernice and W. E. Chitty, of Gonzales; three sisters; Mrs Margaret Costello, of Oak Grove, Mrs Laura Ober, of Monore and Mary Banister, of New Orleans and six grandchilden. Palbearers were J.T.
