Obituary provided by Carolyn Brinkmeyer : Herald Coaster, August 9, 1959: Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Joe Sebesta, age 82. Services were held from the First Presbyterian Church of Rosenberg, with Rev. Owen McGarity officiating. Mrs. Sebesta was born in Wesley, Texas in 1877. In 1911, she married Joe Sebesta and moved to Fairchild community where she resided up to the time of her death, which was Thursday morning following a heart attack. She is survived by her four sons, Willie and Arnold of Fairchild, Walter of Guy, and Edmond of Thompson; three daughters, Mrs. Emma Lay of Sealy, Mrs. Joe Schmidt of Rosenberg, and Mrs. Alfred Walenta, also of Rosenberg; 14 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Joe Walenta, Ernest Luksa, John Jakubik, Emil Jakubik, W.L. Cranek, and M.W. Gwaltney. Interment was in the W.O.W. Cemetery with the Triska Funeral Home directing.
