Mrs. M.W. (Albina Dvoracek) Svrcek, age 86, of West, passed away late Monday evening, April 8, 1996 at West Community Hospital. A rosary was recited at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption by Rev. Isidore Rozycki. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11:15 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Isidore Rozycki as celebrant. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Svrcek was born November 23, 1909 in West, the daughter of John and Mary Dvoracek. She married Miloslav William Svrcek on December 30, 1929 in West. He preceded her in death on January 6, 1959. She was a homemaker and mother. She worked at Friendship Cafe for two years as a waitress and Sulak's Cafe for more than 20 years before retiring in 1989. She was a member of the K.J.Z.T. #11 and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is also preceded in death by a son, M. William Svrcek, Jr. who died in January, 1967. She is survived by one son, Joe Svrcek of Mesquite; three daughters, Janice Vrana of Longview, Betty Wyatt of Waco, and Jo Ann Lammert of Crawford; six sisters, Christine Dvoracek of Dallas, Julie Dlabaj of Mesquite, Agnes Mullins of San Bernardino, California, Betty Payne of Aurora, Colorado, Anne Horton of Ross, and Tracy Morse of Waco; 13 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Stanley Vrba, David Vrana, Harry Vrana, Jr., Lance Vrana, Robby Svrcek, Michael Wyatt, Thomas Kolar and Vincent Sinkule. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
