William Svrcek of Penelope Dies; Rites Held Tues. M. William Svrcek, 30, of Penelope died at 5:15 a.m. Sunday at his home after an illness of 18 months. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Catholic Church of the Nativity of the BVM in Penelope with Rev. Bohumil Hruby as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery near Penelope. Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Svrcek was born at Aquilla and had lived in the West-Penelope area all his life. He married Miss Mary Ann Mraz on Jan. 28, 1958. He was employed with the Co-op Gin and Grain Co. He was a member of the Catholic Church of the Nativity at Penelope and the KJT Lodge No. 31 of West. Survivors are his wife; three daughters, Susan, Monica and Barbara Svrcek, all of Penelope; his mother, Mrs. M. W. Svrcek of West; one brother, Joe Svrcek of West; three sisters, Mrs. Harry Vrana and Miss Jo Ann Svrcek, both of West, and Miss Betty Jo Svrcek of Waco; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Dvoracek of West; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs. John L. Svrcek of Route 2, West. Pallbearers were Frank Dvorak, Waco, John L. Dvorak, Elm Mott, James Garrison and Elton Stuckly of Penelope, Herman Svrcek of Dallas and Charlie Macha of Abbott.
