Bio

Leona Cocek, age 78, of 300 Haven in West, passed away Friday morning, October 30, 1992 in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Mass of Christian Burial followed with Rev. Ed Karasek, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Miss Cocek was born August 28, 1914 in West and had lived there all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West and the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge No. 36 of West. She was a previous employee at Keens Department Store in West for some 36 years. Survivors include two sisters, Olga Phife and Lillian Borgeson, both of Dallas; one brother, William Cocek of West; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Henry Urbanovsky, Bob Ctvrtlik, Tom Ctvrtlik, Jack Coleman, Ed Ctvrtlik and Albert Ctvrtlik. Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
