Alphonse Thomas Cocek, age 62, of 109 E. Broadway in West, passed away Saturday, January 3, 1981, at West Community Hospital. Mr. Cocek was born January 22, 1918, in West and had lived here all his life. He married Margaret Hutyra March 5, 1945, in West. He was a truck driver for the City of West. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the SPJST No. 54. He is survived by his wife, Margaret; one son, Al Cocek of Houston, Texas; and one daughter, Margaret Anderson of Washington, D.C.; two brothers, Joe Cocek and William Cocek of California; five sisters, Mrs. Albert Ctvrtlik of Waco; Mrs. George Phife of Dallas; Mrs. Raymond Urbanovsky of Temple; Mrs. Gus Borgeson of Dallas and Leona Cocek of West. Rosary was recited 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 4, at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 5, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Bob Hajovsky serving as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were Eddie Archer, George Nors, Eugene Bajer, Ernest Zahirniak, John Sulak and Jerry Cocek. Honorary Pallbearers were Louis R.
