Frank M. Cocek, 50-Year Resident, Buried Tuesday Frank M. Cocek, 80, a resident of West for the past 50 years, passed away at his home Sunday morning suffering from a heart ailment. Funeral services for the retired West merchant were held at the Church of the Assumption Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. Rosary was recited at Aderhold Chapel Monday evening. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. The Rev. George Doskocil officiated at the funeral services. Mr. Cocek, a native of Czechoslovakia, came to Fayette County at the age of 10 years. He later moved to West, then to Ennis before moving back here. While in Ennis he married Miss Anna Dusek, who preceded him in death in 1941. Mr. Cook was engaged in the grocery and hardware business here with Joe Kucera and was a member of the SPJST Lodge. Survivors include four sons, Frank J. Cocek and Willie J. Cocek of West, Albin Cocek of New York, Fred Cocek of Bishop' one daughter, Mrs. Mary Fox of Austin; one brother, Louis Cocek of Alvin; 8 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
