Mrs. F.M. Cocek Claimed by Death This entire community was saddened by the sudden death of Mrs. F.M. Cocek, 70, who passed away here at her home at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday. Death was attributed to a heart attack, deceased having been in apparent good health up until the time of her death. Funeral services were held at the residence at 9:30 a.m. and at the Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Thursday, Rev. E.J. Polcak officiating. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Mrs. Cocek was born in Bohemia in 1871. At the age of 18 she came to this country, the family settling at Ennis, Texas. Here she met and married F.M. Cocek, the family moving to West some 40 years ago. Surviving are the widower; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Foxx of Austin; five sons, Frank J. and Joe R. Cocek of West; W.J. Cocek of Waco, Alvin Cocek of Brooklyn, N,Y., Freddie Cocek of Woodsboro; a brother John Dusek of Oklahoma; and a cousin, Mrs. Albert Suchan of Ennis.
