Mrs. Albert Vrana Dies From Injuries Received In Wreck Mrs. Albert Vrana of this city was fatally injured at 8 p.m. Wednesday when the car in which she was riding was struck by a north bound Katy passenger train here. The accident occurred at the Pine Street crossing, where the Katy station is located. Receiving emergency treatment here, Mrs. Vrana was rushed to a Waco sanitarium in the local ambulance, but died enroute. Her husband, Albert Vrana, who was driving the car when it was struck by the train, was only slightly injured, being returned from Waco after receiving treatment there. Their small son was unhurt. The accident took place as the north-bound 7:00 Katy passed the station. The Vrana car was headed east on Pine Street, and the driver evidently did not see the approaching engine. Vrana was bringing his wife and child to town from their home in the north part of town when the accident occurred. he is proprietor of a lunch room here. Though the crash took place at one of the busiest crossings in the business district, a number of people a short distance away did not know of the accident until several minutes after it occurred. The car was badly smashed, being struck just back of the front seat. It was a Model A Ford sedan. Deceased, Mrs. Anastasia Vrana, was 28 years of age. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sternadel, being born in Hill County on February 20, 1906. Funeral services will be held this morning, Friday, February 1st, from the house at 9:30 o'clock and at the Church of the Assumption at 10:00 o'clock, with Rev. Ed. J. Polcak officiating. Interment will be at the Catholic Cemetery. Survivors are her husband, Albert Vrana; one son, Harry Vrana; four sisters, Mrs. Jim Vrana, Mrs. Willie Veselka, Miss Bernice Sternadel and Miss Martha Sternadel, all of West; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Sternadel of West; one brother, Laddie Sternadel of West.
