Joseph T. Urbanovsky, age 83 of West, died Wednesday evening, December 25, 1991 in West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Thursday, by Msgr. George Doskocil, in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel, West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday, in St. Mary's Catholic Church, West; with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Urbanovsky was born April 14, 1908 in Seymour, Tx. and had lived in the West areal all of his life. He was a retired farmer, a truck driver for 10 years, he worked for Fleetwood Mobile Homes for 10 years and was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Army-Air Force. He was a member of K.J.T. Society #31 and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. He married Elizabeth Gajdica, July 12, 1943 in Penelope. Survivors include his wife of West; two sons, Larry Urbanovsky of Ennis and Richard Urbanovsky of West; three daughters, Mrs. Tom (Carolyn) Gerik and Mrs. Randy (Rita) Cox, both of Robinson and Mrs. Tommy (Sarah) Gerik of West; one brother, Henry Urbanovsky of West; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Vlasta) Makovy of Lubbock and Mrs. Ed (Hattie) Lednicky of West and 10 grandchildren. Pallbearers were Jim Webb, David Holecek, Wendell Donahue, Laddie Gajdica, Bernard Urbanovsky, and Jim Saunders. Mr. Urbanovsky's grandsons were the honorary pallbearers.
