Mrs. Elizabeth A. Urbanovsky, age 82 of West, died June 18, 1999 in West Rest Haven. A rosary was recited at 6 p.m. June 20 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West by Benny Cepak. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. June 21 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption Church in West, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Urbanovsky was born November 11, 1916 near Elk, and had lived in the Elk/West area all of her life. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West and the K.J.Z.T. No. 11. She was employed at Lorch Manufacturing Company in West for a number of years, as a seamstress prior to her retirement. She enjoyed crocheting and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She married Joseph T. Urbanovsky on July 12, 1943 in Penelope. He preceded her in death on December 25, 1991. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Andrew and Charlie Gajdica. Mrs. Urbanovsky is survived by two sons, Larry Urbanovsky and wife Chrisi of Ennis and Richard Urbanovsky and wife Anna of West; three daughters, Mrs. Carolyn Gerik and husband Tom of Robinson, Rita Cox of Robinson and Sarah Gerik and husband Tommy of West; two brothers, Laddie Gajdica of Plano and George Gajdica of DeSoto; three sisters, Lydia Prachyl and Martha Saunders, both of Mesquite and Christine Sefcik of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were her grandsons, Mark Urbanovsky, Greg Jones, Keith Gerik, Joe Gerik, Justin Cox and Charles Pruski. Honorary Pallbearers were Denise Pruski, Samantha Gerik, Kayla Gerik, Karla Gerik, Ashley Cox, Kristine Urbanovsky, Alexis Urbanovsky and Westin Pruski.
