Bio

Albert J. Sulak, age 95 of DeSoto, formerly of Fort Worth, passed away May 20 in a DeSoto nursing home. A rosary was recited at 10 a.m. May 22 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:15 a.m. in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mr. Sulak was born December 10, 1903 in West and had lived in the West area until 1952, when he moved to Fort Worth. He married Hattie Cinek November 18, 1924 and she preceded him in death on January 17, 1987. He was a retired farmer and carpenter and a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Duncanville and the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge 180. He is survived by two sons, Leo A. Sulak, Sr. and wife Evelyn of Waxahachie and Charles R. Sulak and wife Ellie of Granbury; one daughter, Martha A. Pustejovsky of Forth Worth; one brother, August Sulak and wife Irene of Whitney; two sisters, Mrs. Lois Patterson of Hillsboro and Frances Sparks and husband Jack of Clifton; 11 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and ten great-great-grandchildren. Active pallbearers were his grandsons, John I. Sulak, Calvin R. Sulak, Leo Sulak, Jr., Charles Sulak, Jr., Dennis Pustejovsky, Robert Pustejovsky and Randy Pustejovsky.
