WEST - Mrs. Mary Skopik, age 77, of Waco, formerly of 809 N. Davis, passed away April 28, 1986 in a Waco Nursing Home. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, 1986 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian burial was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Msgr. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Skopik was born July 29, 1908 in Hill County near the Penelope area. She was the daughter of John and Janie Matus. She was employed at a clothing manufacturing company in Dallas for a number of years and at West Rest Haven for 4 years. She was a member of SPJST Lodge 54 and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Bob (Margaret) Wright of West, one sister, Rosie Skopik Filer of Bellmead, 6 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren.
