Mrs. Tracie Schroeder, age 63, of West, Passed away late Sunday morning, April 26, 2992 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West, the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mrs. Schroeder was born August 15, 1928 in West, the daughter of August and Anne Kocian. She attended St. Mary's Catholic School and West High School. She married Raymond G. (Jack) Schroeder on February 3, 1948 in West. She was a housewife and homemaker all her life, a Stanley Products Dealer for the past 20 years, she formerly worked for J.M. Woods Manufacturing in Waco for 20 years, and was a former cook for the West Kiwanis Club. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption all her life, and also a member of the K.J.Z.T. Society No. 11 in West. She is survived by her husband, Raymond G. (Jack) Schroeder of West; three sons, David Schroeder of Bellmead, John Schroeder of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Raymond Gene Schroeder of Corpus Christi; four brothers, Albin Kocian, Bernard Kocian, August G. Kocian, and Walter Kocian, all of West; three sisters, Haddie A. Kocian, Willie Mae Volcik, and Irene Wolf, all of West; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Larry Volcik, Walter Kocian, Floyd Dwane Wolf, Michael Kocian, Calvin Schroeder and Bruce Schroeder. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
