John Petter's Funeral Services Held In West John Edward Petter died at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, March 23 in Dallas. Funeral services were held at the Church of Assumption in West at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday, Rt. Rev. Msgr. I.J. Valenta officiated. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Aderhold-Moore Chapel, and in Dallas Monday night. Mr. Petter was born in Texas June 15, 1902. He lived in West for many years, but moved to Dallas about five years ago. He was a member of the KJT in Dallas and the KD in West. He worked for Mc. As. Corp. in Dallas. Mr. Petter died suddenly of a heart attack. He is survived by his widow, Emilie Petter of Dallas; two daughters, Mrs. Edith Holub of Dallas, and Mrs. Rosalie Mynarcik of Dallas; three step-daughters, Mrs. Mildred McDonald, Mrs. Janie Sonka, and Mrs. Margie Smith, all of Dallas; one step-son, Victor Sonka of California; six grandchildren; four brothers, Joe Petter, Albin Petter, Victor Petter, and Jerry Petter, all of West; three sisters, Mrs. Julia Bajer, Mrs. Lillian Cepak and Mrs. Henrietta Svacina, all of West. Pallbearers were Bernard Petter, Albin Petter, Jr., Rudolph Cepak, Jr., Alois Petter, Jody Svacina and Eugene Bajer.
