Rosalie M. Mynarcik, 81, of West, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2010, in West. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. A rosary will be recited 4 p.m. Sunday at the Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel, with visitation to follow until 6 p.m. Rosalie was born in West, Texas, to the late John Edward and Adele (Marek) Petter. She attended the Brooken School and graduated from Abbott High School in 1947. On January 27, 1948 she was united in marriage to Leo A. Mynarcik in Abbott. They moved to Dallas to work and raise their family. Rosalie was a homemaker and worked in the cafeteria for the Dallas Independent School District for over 25 years until retiring in 1995. Upon their retirement they returned to West. Rosalie was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. She was also a member of the S.P.J.S.T. Lodge #54 and K.J.Z.T. St. Ludmila Society No. 11 in West. Rosalie enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing, listening to Czech music, and embroidering. She especially loved spending time with her family and keeping them all "in line". Rosalie was preceded in death by an infant brother, Frank Petter. Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Leo A. Mynarcik, of West; sons, George Mynarcik, of Houston and Tim Mynarcik and wife, Linda, of Alvord; daughter, Kathy Hons and husband, Don, of Mesquite; grandchildren, Allison Mynarcik, Jonathan Hons, and Carolyn Tarpley and husband, Adam; sister, Edith Holub, of Dallas; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
