Bio
Albin E. Petter, age 82, of Route 2, West, passed away late Thursday morning, April 19, 1990 at Providence Health Center in Waco. Mr. Petter was born December 31, 1907 near Tours, the son of John W. and Mary Petter. He married Louise Gerich on October 18, 1932 in West. He was a farmer all his life until retiring in 1982. He also worked for 25 years with West Flour Mill and for 30 years as a rural postal carrier. He was a member of the K.J.T., the S.P.J.S.T., and the R.V.O.S., and had served as secretary-treasurer of all three. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption. He is preceded in death by one son, Bernard Petter who died December 19, 1984. Survivors include his wife, Louise Petter of Route 2, West; two sons, John Petter of Temple and Albin A. Petter of Waco; one daughter, Rose Marie Sulak of Route 1, West; one brother, Victor Petter of Abbott; two sisters, Lillian Cepak of Ennis and Henrietta Kallus of Abbott; nineteen grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A rosary was recited 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption by Msgr. George Doskocil. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Pallbearers were grandsons, Dale Petter, Chuck Petter, Tim Petter, Greg Petter, Roger Petter, Kurt Petter, James Petter, Mike Petter, David Petter, Andy Petter, Ronnie Sulak, Rick Sulak and Duane Sulak.
