Services Held Saturday for Joe Petter Joe F. Petter, 74, of Route 2, Abbott, died Thursday morning in the West hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel in West. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Abbott, Rev. W. Pechal officiated; burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery at West. Mr. Petter was born in Fayetteville and had lived in the Abbott area for 50 years. He was a member of the Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church. He was a member of the KJT Society No. 31 of West. He married Anna Matus on July 9, 1923, in West. Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Joe (Evelyn) Soukup of Abbott; three brothers, Albin Petter of West, Victor Petter of Abbott and Jerry Petter of Dallas; three sisters, Mrs. Julie Bajer of West, Mrs. Rudolph (Lillie) Cepak of Ennis and Mrs. Alois (Henrietta) Svacina of Abbott; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Raymond Hutyra, Johnny Bajer, Eugene Bajer, Albin Petter, Jr., William Holub and Leo Mynarcik.
