Mrs. Rudolph Nemecek, 97, of West, a lifelong resident of the West area, died Monday night at West Community Hospital. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monsignor George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial will be at St. Mary's Cemetery. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel.. Mrs. Nemecek was born on June 1, 1885, in West. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, KJZT Society No. 11 and Catholic Daughters of America No. 829. Survivors include two sons, Alfred Nemecek of Kyle and Joseph H. Nemecek of Corpus Christi; three daughters, Mrs. L.J. (Mamie) Urbanovsky and Mrs. Ed H. (Rudie) Grimm, both of West, and Mrs. Fred (Georgia) Cocek of Bishop; a brother, Ed Smajstrla of West; 12 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers were Edward Archer, Clifford Archer, Anthony Cocek, Freddie Cocek, Clarence Talley, Jr. and Dalton E. Tynes.
