Bio

Mrs. Rudie Grimm, 98, of West, Texas, passed away Saturday evening, Feb. 11, 2006, in West Rest Haven. Rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 16, at St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West, followed by Mass of Christian Burial with the Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in West. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 15, at Kotch Funeral Home. Rudie was born and lived in West, Texas for most of her life. She was a retired school teacher and a member of St. Mary's Church of the Assumption in West where she was an organist for 40 years. She was also a member of the Catholic Daughters of America Court #829. She married Ed H. Grimm on Dec. 28, 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed, on June 12, 1993; and twin sons. Survivors include brothers, Alfred Nemecek and wife, Diana, of Austin and Joseph Nemecek, of Corpus Christi; a sister, Georgia Cocek, of West; and several nieces and nephews.
