Requiem Mass Held Sat.. For Mrs. Louis Matus Mrs. Louis W. (Lillie) Matus, 58, of West died Thursday afternoon in a Waco hospital. Rosary was recited at 6:45 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3 in Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Requiem mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4 in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption with Rev. B.J. Zientek as celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Matus was born in West and had lived in the West area all her life. She was a member of KJZT Society No. 11 and the Altar-Rosary Society at St. Mary's Church. Survivors include her husband, Louis Matus; one son, Raymond J. Matus of West; her mother, Mrs. Mary Kohut of Hillsboro; one sister, Mrs. Charlie (Hattie) Matus of Hillsboro; and three grandchildren. Pallbearers were Frank Hutyra, Bill Kubala, Richard Hlavenka, Jerome Rejcek, Eugene Marak, and Raymond Hutyra. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 81.
