Elm Mott Man Dies At Home John R. Matus, 76, of Route 1, died at his home September 12. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West, with Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Matus was born near West and had lived in the area all his life. He was a farmer, member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption of West, and SPJST Lodge No. 54 of West. Survivors include his wife Rose; two sons, Albin Matus of Bellmead and Johnny Matus of Irving; three daughters, Mrs. Joe (Rosa Lee) Parma of Mount Calm, Mrs. Henry (Willie Mae) Pustejovsky of Route 4, Hillsboro; and Mrs. Joseph (Jo Ann) Cepak of Bellmead; three brothers, Frank Matus and Joe Matus, both of Route 1, West, and Ed Matus of Wichita Falls; a sister, Mrs. Ludvik (Mary) Gerik of Route 1, West; 19 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
