Rosalie V. Parma, age 73 of Waco, passed away Wednesday evening, November 19, 1997 at Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center in Waco. A rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Nov. 21 at Aderhold Funeral Home Chapel in West by the Rev. Timothy Vaverek. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Nov. 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead with the Rev. Timothy Vaverek officiating. Burial followed at St. Mary's Cemetery near West. Mrs. Parma was born January 30, 1924 in McLennan Co., the daughter of John and Rosie Matus. She married Joe Parma on January 29, 1946 in West. He preceded her in death on November 21, 1975. She was a homemaker and enjoyed her Polka music, gardening and canning. She was a member of KJZT, SPJST Lodge No. 54 of West, and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bellmead. She is preceded in death by a twin brother, Rudolph Matus and a sister, Barbara Ann Matus. She is survived by two sons, James Parma and his wife Patricia and Ray Parma and his wife Rose, both of Elm Mott; one daughter, Janice Allison and her husband Kerry of Northcrest; two brothers, Albin Matus of Bellmead and Johnny Matus of Irving; two sisters, Willie Mae Pustejovsky of Abbott and JoAnn Cepak of Bellmead; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers were Joe Foit, Gordon Cambell, Jason Parma, Thomas Parsons, John Mott and Greg Hammermeister. Aderhold Funeral Home in West was in charge of arrangements.
