Mrs. Emil Matula Dies; Services To Be Friday Mrs. Emil (Ludmila) Matula, 75, of West died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday in a Hillsboro hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, Rev. George Doskocil as celebrant. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mrs. Matula was born in Burleson County, and had lived in the West area for 63 years. She was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church of Assumption and also was a member of the KJZT Lodge No. 11 of West, in which she received a 50 year pin in 1967. She and Mr. Matula married on Jan. 29, 1913 in West. Survivors include her husband; four sons, Henry Matula of West, Fred Matula of Route 2, West, Robert Matula and Albert Matula, both of Abbott; one daughter, Mrs. Fred (Georgie) Smetak of Dallas; five brothers, Louis Grones of Elm Mott, Joe Grones of Dallas, John Grones and Frank Grones of West, Adolph Grones of Abbott; four sisters, Mrs. Julia Prazah of Chilton, Mrs. Rosie Smetak of Fort Stockton, Mrs. Martha Picha of Fort Worth and Mrs. Mary Rejcek of Mertens; twelve grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Felix Picha, Edward Grones, Fred Uptmore, Harry Rejcek, Louis Veselka, and Ronnie Grones.
