Bio
Frank John Grones, age 82, of 307 N. Marable in West, died Monday morning, May 4, in a Waco nursing home. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Aderhold Chapel. Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 6, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, with Reverend George Doskocil as celebrant. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Raymond (Evelina) Lenart of Rt. 1, Abbott, Mrs. Freddy (Helen) Uptmor of Bellmead, Mrs. Joe (Veronica) Laubert, and Mrs. John (Nancy) Polansky, both of Rt. 2, West; three brothers, John Grones of Waxahachie, Adolph Grones of Abbott and Louis Grones of Elm Mott; four sisters, Mrs. Rosie Smetak of Ft. Stockton Mrs. Julie Prazak of Chilton, Mrs. Martha Picha of Ft. Worth, and Mrs. Mary Rejcek of Mertens; fourteen grandchildren and three great-great grandsons. Pallbearers were Edward Grones, Edwin Grones, Danny Grones, Adolph Charanza, Felix Picha and Fred Matula. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 91, No. 18, Edition 1, Thursday, May 7, 1981, page 5.
