Funeral Rites For Joseph Macik Friday Funeral services will be held Friday for Mr. Joseph* Macik of Penelope. Mr. Macik passed away on Nov. 7. He was born in Czechoslovakia on Feb. 11, 1871, and was 74 years and eight months old at the time of his death. Mr. Macik was the son of Mr. Joseph Macik and Mrs. Katherine Zbranek Macik, both of Czechoslovakia. He has lived in Penelope for many years and was a farmer. Funeral services will be held from the residence at 8:30 A.M. and from the Church of the Assumption in West at 9:00 A.M. Friday, November 11, 1945. Father J. Konkiel will officiate. Interment will be in the Catholic Cemetery in West. Mr. Macik is survived by his wife, three daughters, Mrs. Frank Dobecka of Dallas, Mrs. Henry Sykora of Dallas, and Miss Frances Macik of Penelope; and five sons, Henry and Louis Macik of Penelope, Frank of Red Springs, Albert with the Army overseas, and Stanislav with the Army in Louisiana. *Name corrected to Joseph from John The West News, West, Texas, Volume 56, No. 25, Edition 1, Friday, November 9, 1945, page 1.
