Bio
Bessie A. Lichnovsky, 87, of West died Friday, June 20, at a West nursing home. She was born August 13, 1915 in West and had lived in the West area most of her life. A volunteer for West Community Hospital and West Senior Ministry, she was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption and its Altar Rosary Society, KJZT Society #31 and Catholic Daughters of America Court #829. She married Harry Lichnovsky May 21, 1940 in West. Survivors include: her husband; one son, Larry Lichnovsky of Arlington; three daughters, Sister Rosemary Lichnovsky of Harlingen, Carolyn Gouldman and husband, David, of Lake Whitney and Jeanette Sulak and husband, Michael, of West; one brother, Harry Bezdek of Abbott; two sisters, Mrs. Lillian Urbanovsky and Mrs. Josephine Kubala, both of West; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, June 22, at Kotch Funeral Chapel in West by Catholic Daughters of America Court #829. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in West with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant.
