Services Held Friday For Frank R. Kolar Frank R. Kolar, 81, died Wednesday, July 31, in the West Community Hospital. Rosary was recited Thursday with Requiem Mass celebrated Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, Rev. Earl Hedberg as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr. Kolar was born in Corn Hill and had lived in the West area most of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption, a veteran of World War I and a member of VFW Post 4819. He was a member of Catholic Workman 77. He was a retired farmer. He married Annie Gerik Nov. 11, 1919 at West. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Annie Kolar; seven sons, Adolph Kolar, Frank Kolar, Jr., Rudolph Kolar, Johnny Kolar and Raymond Kolar, all of West, Alfons Kolar of Mount Calm and Albin Kolar of Burleson; three daughters, Mrs. John (Mary) Grmela of Malone, Miss Angeline Kolar of West and Mrs. Joe (Annie Mae) Marek of Penelope; three brothers, Emil Kolar of Aquilla and Anton Kolar and Ed Kolar, both of West; three sisters, Mrs. Agnes Nors and Mrs. Antonio Kramolis, both of West, and Mrs. Caroline Kocurek of Itasca; 31 grandchildren; and one great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were Adolph Kolar, Jr., Alfons Kolar, Jr., Raymond Kolar, Jr., Harry Grmela and Larry Marek. The West News, West, Texas, Volume 84, No. 17, Edition 1, Thursday, August 8, 1974, page 4.
