Edward Robert Kolar, age 77, of West, a farmer, and carpenter, died Wednesday evening, January 17, 1990, in a West hospital. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Friday in St. Mary's Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Catholic Church, with Rev. Ed Karasek as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Mary's Cemetery, West. Mr. Kolar was born October 23, 1912, in West and lived there all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a retired farmer and carpenter. He married Frances Karlik on January 13, 1942, in West. Survivors include his wife; three sons, Edward and Louie Kolar, both of West, and Ernest Kolar of Abbott; two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Bernice) Hornak and Magdalen Kolar, both of West; a brother, Antone Kolar of West; a sister, Antonia Kramolis of West; and four grandchildren. Pallbearers were Rudolph Kolar, Emil Hejl, Ernest Holacek, Edwin Gerik, Louis Kolar, and Gerald Barak. Kotch Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
