Frank Karlik Of West Dies WEST (SPL) - Frank Karlik. 79. of West, died Saturday morning in a local hospital. Rosary will be recited at 7 30 p.m. Sunday at Kotch Funeral Home Chapel. Requiem mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West with Rev. William Benish officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mr Karlik was born in West and lived in the West area all of his life. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. He was a retired carpenter and a veteran of World War I. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Gerald (Rosalie) Barak of West and Mrs Edwin (Dolores) Gerik of 3521 Lasker in Waco; four sisters, Miss Mary Karlik, Mrs. Christine Kolar, Mrs. Rosie Holacek and Mrs. Ed (Frances) Kolar, all of West; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
